While recording the vocals for Nezaan, some random vocal sounds made it onto a track. Also, I had this 7/8 rhythm running around in my head for some weeks, and I decided I had to do something with both of these.

In old Germanic culture, a galdr refers to a spell or incantation. These were usually performed in combination with certain rites. I found this a perfect fit as a title for this (almost instrumental) song.

In December 2025 I changed the cover art for this release. The first album cover was generated by AI and that didn’t sit well with me, so I had to go with something real. The new image is a much better fit for my music. It has been drawn by Francis Kneebone. He makes some amazing stuff, so make sure to go and check it out!
